Liberal Response to Tea Parties: Penis Jokes April 14, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : General , add a commentYep, that’s their answer. Awesome.
And regarding Krugman, who does whatever the chip Soros implanted in his skull tells him too, there’s nothing astroturf about these events. I’ve NEVER been to a protest before (with the exception of an anti-abortion rally I stumbled into in Denver when on vacation). I don’t think any of my friends have been to a protest. I heard this was happening, and I decided I’d take a day off work (unlike most progressives, I work to support my family) to raise my voice. There’s no one pulling the strings. There are no “community organizers” in the conservative movement; we’ve all got day jobs that don’t involve sucking the government teat.
What about the cry that “Bush did the same thing”? Well, Bush certainly did increase the deficit, and I wasn’t thrilled. Chairman O looks to triple it, though. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
Nazis and Socialists and the Truth March 15, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : Culture, Politics , add a commentSo for eight years, Bush was called a Nazi by many on the left. Morons, really, who never cracked a book. Or if they had an idea what a Nazi really was, the epithet was too useful to them to bother with its accuracy.
Now, some conservatives are saying Barack Obama is a socialist. Well, duh. Does the man want state control of education, health care, and the economy? Yes he does! And that’s socialism.
The amazing thing here is the next sentence may blame the economy on Bush “de-regulation”. Well, let me give you some insight. State control of businesses is socialist, even National Socialist. So what was he? Not a Nazi.
Socialists take over businesses. Socialists control healthcare. Socialists disarm the populace.
You liberals may be offended by the term, but a pig is a damn pig. Chairman O is a socialist.
Human Experimentation March 12, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : Culture, Politics , add a commentDoesn’t sound so nice in those terms, does it? I’m talking about embryonic stem cell research, of course. This is the act where we mutilate an embryo to extract the sweet sweet nectar of healing. This despite excellent progress using adult stem cells, especially induced pluripotent adult stem cells. You know, the ones that have actually shown promise in curing actual ailments.
And don’t go bringing the Bush “ban” up. You’ll show you don’t understand the issue. A ban on federal funding does not mean a ban on state funding or on private funding. Research with embryonic stem cells continued through the Bush years, and was quite well funded. All Chairman O is doing is tossing tax dollars at modern-day vivisection.
This is the dilemma. When does a human life have rights? Who determines the cut-off date? A fetus has no rights because it’s inside its mother’s body. An embryo has no rights because it’s outside. And what’s the age cut-off? Or is there a size cut-off? An embryo is tiny; even though it would eventually become an individual, just like me, because it’s so young, does it have no rights? The same people who cry about the chickens that gave their lives for your McNuggets have nothing to say about the millions of abandoned children who give their lives in the name of science.
Eventually, there will be a reckoning. Science has, historically, existed independently of ethics. This happened all the time in the Third Reich, the Soviet Union, and Hirohito’s Empire. Why do we let it happen in Obama’s era of Hope and Change?
I call for an immediate cessation of vivisection. I call for an end to human experimentation upon those who can give no consent. I call for an explanation of the ethics of destroying one human life in the faint hope of saving another, especially without the consent of the first.
Gay Jihad Hit List February 12, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : Culture, Elections, General, Politics , add a commentJust as small radical elements of Islam support a doctrine of Islamic Supremacy, a few nasty vermin in the gay community are striking out against people for donating to a cause they believed in. Just as Hitler’s brownshirts did, they’re trying to intimidate any voices of opposition.
The latest I’ve seen is eightmaps.com. This provides a convenient address listing of any person who donated to Prop 8. I know my reach is small, but if there’s someone out there you care for, please keep an extra eye out for suspicious activity.
While it’s my assumption that a limp wrist precludes one from operating a firearm properly, there’s no doubt that some of these people would resort to cruder means. See the incidents where powder was sent to LDS temples.
It’s outside my ability at the moment, but I think an answering map would be in order if there’s anyone who would care to make an effort. How would those who donated against the measure like their privacy violated and their addresses posted on the internet? Fair is fair.
Those of you in California may be more limited, but let it be on the record that I will be watching in my home town, and I will be armed.

Why should people in my state pay? February 8, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : Politics , add a commentFor all its foibles, Utah is the best-run state in the country. That’s why it’s awfully annoying to see an item in the Trillion Dollar Boondoggle awarding badly managed states with federal money. California, I love, you but you screwed up. Why should poor little Utah have to pay out to support a state that can’t even balance its budget? This is worse than the banks. As for California, how does a state with so much natural and intellectual wealth not manage to pay the bills? It’s the most important state technologically and agriculturally in this country, there’s a robust tourism industry, film and television; it’s unfathomable. What’s really beyond me is that the Californians don’t kick the morons out of office.
This isn’t meant to be a rant on California. It’s a fine state with unique problems. But there should be no bailout for the states. They should suffer the consequences of their mismanagement, correct the problems, and move on. Throwing money at them just means the same imbalances are perpetuated until next January.
Chairman O February 8, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : General , add a commentI just want to stake my claim to coining this term. Someone else may have come up with it independently, but I’m not aware. I think Chairman O is a fine name for the leader of our new aristocracy. He already has a little book, even.
Dissent is Patriotic January 19, 2009
Posted by Zarch in : Culture, Elections, Politics, Press , add a commentRemember that well-worn phrase? Let’s see how well it carries over into these messianic times. Already we have incidents such as this, where school administrators are forbidding comments that might make other students uncomfortable. There’s no tolerance for a Christian student who may be uncomfortable being taught that sex has no consequences if it’s done safely, or for a conservative student, who may be told that Bush trampled on the constitution (he didn’t, and you’re a moron if you say he did).
Obama has the media at his beck and call, and any freedom lover ought to be a little bit concerned about that. It means he may get a free pass on issues where Bush was scrutinized (for instance, a $40 million inauguration in fairly good times is railed on, while a $170 million inauguration in the middle of a terrible recession is celebrated).
Observe the double standards. Witness the hypocrisy. We’re in for 4 or 8 years of it. Now is where we’ll really see if the left believes in freedom of all speech, or just freedom of liberal speech.
The Imam of the Gay Jihad November 15, 2008
Posted by Zarch in : Culture, Elections, Politics , 1 comment so farThe story of a former aide to Ted Stevens (of "series of tubes" fame) rising to mid-level blogger is no doubt fascinating, but we’ll focus on the issue at hand. John Aravosis, founder of such American Treasures as StopDrLaura.com and Americablog.com, is the main agitator behind violence against the LDS faith. Most of his articles follow a simple format: link someplace else to someone else’s news, and add a few bitchy lines. I suppose that passes for journalism these days.
Aravosis came to the scene in an AP article: "We’re going to destroy the Utah brand. It is a hate state." Despite John’s struggles with geography (Utah is not part of California, where the vote on Proposition 8 occurred), his words have started to do real harm, though not economically. Aravosis has said nothing to condemn the bio-terror scare at two of the our most sacred sites, which will be investigated by the FBI to see if it is a hate crime.
Just words? Aravosis himself condemned remarks by William J. Bennett, accusing him of stirring up CHRISTIAN terrorism against Islam. The key quote from the article: "Let’s take bets on how many riots and deaths CNN is now going to be responsible for based on this segment alone." Well, John, how many riots are you responsible for? How many of our chapels and temples have been vandalized? So, now’s the time for you to take that pie-hole of yours and speak out against the hate and violence you claim to condemn.
Some additional examples:
Aravosis expressed outrage over alleged "mishandling" of the Quran. Can we at least get a "please don’t do that" when someone burns a copy of the Book of Mormon? Or is Mormonism less equal than Islam?
Aravosis condemned violence against mosques. Would it be fair to ask why you condemn violence against Islam (which supports the death penalty for homosexual behavior in many parts of the world) but not against the LDS faith (which supports civil unions for gay couples and asks its members to treat others with tolerance and love)?
Can we get some acknowledgement of the efforts of the LDS faith and some of our political leaders to see that gay couples are treated fairly under the law?
As a final note, please install Adblock Plus prior to visiting links to Americablog.com. I don’t want any traffic I send, however small the amount, to result in Aravosis getting paid for a single ad impression or click. His site is a hate site.
